Beyond
the books.

Accounts, tax and bookkeeping are the floor: handled properly, filed on time, never chased. The reason to work with me is what gets built above it. Strategic work that changes where your business ends up.

The strategic work

Where the value lives.

  1. Quarterly business reviews

Four times a year we sit down with your numbers and turn them into a plan: what went right, what didn't, and the two or three things that pull the next quarter back on course. This is the engine of everything else I do.

Decisions get made while they still matter, not at year-end.

  2. A twelve-month plan, kept live

We start with the year you want, then build the budget that funds it. It isn't filed away in a drawer; it's revisited as things change, so the plan always describes the business you're actually running.

You see what's coming early enough to steer.

  3. The numbers that matter to you

Not a dashboard of everything. The handful of figures that genuinely move your business, tracked quarter to quarter and explained in plain English.

You act with confidence, because you finally understand what you're looking at.

  4. A partner for the big calls

Someone to think out loud with before you commit: a hire, your pricing, a serious purchase. I'll ask the questions you can't ask yourself, and tell you honestly what the numbers say.

The big decisions stop being lonely.

The floor, handled

The essentials run quietly in the background: accurate, on time, and entirely off your mind. No deadline will ever need chasing.

  • Year-end accounts
  • Bookkeeping
  • Corporation tax
  • Personal tax planning
  • Financial reporting
On pricing

There’s no price list here. That’s deliberate.

A menu of fixed prices would push you toward the cheapest box rather than the right one. So it works like this instead: you tell me about your business and what you’re aiming at, we talk it through, and you get an honest number for the work that would genuinely help. If the honest answer is that you don’t need me yet, you’ll hear that too.

Fair questions

Asked before. Answered straight.

Do I have to be in Manchester?
No. I'm based here and love working with Manchester businesses face to face, but I work with clients remotely across the UK, and the quarterly rhythm works just as well over a video call.
I already do my own bookkeeping. Is that a problem?
Not at all. I genuinely don't mind whether you pay me to do the bookkeeping or you do it yourself; what matters is that your data is up to date, because every useful conversation we'll have is built on it.
What if I only want the compliance?
Then I'm probably not the right accountant for you, and I'd rather say so than take the fee. Plenty of firms will keep you compliant. The reason to choose me is everything above the floor, and that work is at its best with owners who have somewhere they intend to get to.

Not sure which parts you need? That’s exactly what the first message is for.
